“Beyoncé Ain’t Got Sh*t On Me” – 50 Cent Hilariously Teases His Country Era With A.I. Country Mashup Of “In Da Club” & Conway Twitty

I cannot emphasize how good 50 Cent’s hit song “In Da Club” sounds in the stylings of Conway Twitty.

I’m not the only one that’s raving about it either. The A.I. cover of the track was so impressive that even 50 Cent himself (whose actual name is Curtis James Jackson III) shared it online to his 13 million followers. That’s certainly one way to introduce a non-country fan base to country music.

The video, as you’ll see shortly, is hilarious. But at the same time, it once again brings up the issues and grey areas around computer generated voices and music. Artificial intelligence has already done some great things in music, like helping Randy Travis release a brand new song last month. However, it has also created a number of problems, which led Tennessee to be the first state to enact legislation to protect artists’ voices from deepfakes.

It’s a really serious topic… until it isn’t. Sometimes the use of A.I. in music is just downright funny, and that’s proven true by this latest video shared by 50 Cent. To be clear, the rapper didn’t do this edit himself. The Conway Twitty cover of “In da Club” was posted by a social media account called “There I Ruined It,” which takes popular songs and, in their own words, “lovingly destroys them.”

But I don’t know if you could say that this country version of “In da Club” was destroyed. In fact, I’d argue the exact opposite. Conway Twitty was famously one of the horniest country artists of all time, and the lyrics of this 50 Cent song strangely felt right at home along the melody of “Tight Fittin’ Jeans,” sung by the legendary country artist.

So 50 Cent’s message with the song’s repost might be a little misleading, considering it’s just his lyrics being performed and not him actually on the recording. However, I think we’d all be interested in a 50 Cent country album that’s just A.I. covers of his most popular songs:

“My country album on the way. Beyoncé ain’t got shit on me.”

And of course, the original from Mr. Conway Twitty himself:
