The big debut.

Today, Ella Langley announced that her debut album hungover is due out everywhere on August 2nd.

Featuring previously released songs in “paint the town blue” and “nicotine,” a new duet with Riley Green that she’s been teasing called “you look like you love me” is also included on the 14-song tracklist. In addition, Ella has included two acoustic songs “cowgirl don’t cry” and “broken in” that I’m excited to hear.

The Hope Hull, Alabama native put out out her debut EP Excuse the Mess last year, and has also teamed up with Koe Wetzel and Kameron Marlow on “That’s Why We Fight” and “Strangers,” respectively.

With a country twang and heavy rock and roll influences in a lot of her songs, Ella has a unique sound and way with words that has her poised to be one of the next big voices in mainstream county music. She often sings about life and dealing with relationships and heartbreak, which seems to be a theme on hungover, as well:

“Turning the page. True love. Growing out of the person you were into the person you are now. Growth is painful, growth is hard, it is beautiful and it can leave you feeling hungover.”

You can view the album trailer below, which features a poem Ella wrote with her mom Heather:

Ella will release the title track this Friday, June 7th.

Here’s a little bit of the live performance Ella and Riley did over the weekend of “you look like you love me.” I already have a feeling it’s going to be one of my favorites because it’s so dang fun:
