Coming to a city near you.
Right after their album release, Benjamin Tod and Lost Dog Street Band are bringing the tracks from Survived to stages across the United States.
The group just announced they will hit the road starting in September for their Shooting Star Tour.
The 28-stop tour will cover the Southwest, Midwest, and West Coast. With their distinct Appalachian sound, the album prolifically details feelings of love, loss, poverty, and addiction as the writing reflects on how lucky we are to make it out of those tough times.
It feels as though Tod poured it all into the writing of this album, and he indeed did because, at one point, he thought that Lost Dog Street Band was done. In 2023, the band was in the midst of an indefinite hiatus. Tod noted that he was on the outs of Lost Dog for quite some time, and without his solo songwriting, he was unsure if the band would reconnect and put out a new record.
On a recent sit down with Whiskey Riff Raff, Tod’s wife, Ashley Mae, and fiddle player for Lost Dog, noted that this album is much more special to her because of that time apart.
“I feel a lot more emotionally connected to this album. I’m just more proud of this album in general and just everything that went into it. The musicianship, the fact that Lost Dog may not have made it and lived to record another album, is very special to me.”
The particular feeling associated with this album is guaranteed to shine when Lost Dog is performing the new tracks on stage. These are not shows you’ll want to miss, and you better act fast because they will sell out.
