“It Was Our Welcoming Party To Country Music” – Jelly Roll Relives Last Year’s CMT Award Wins

Jelly Roll is hoping to secure another CMT Award this year.

There is no denying that Jelly Roll’s breakout in country music started during last year’s CMT Awards when he won not one, not two, but three of the fan-voted awards.

“Do you all remember the CMT Awards last year? I’ll never forget it, baby. It was our welcoming party to country music.”

Jelly Roll said on social media, reflecting on his out-of-body experience taking home three awards during his first awards show and performing in front of the packed Moody Center in Austin, Texas. During this night, he introduced the world to “Need A Favor,” and the country music world welcomed his infectious personality and moving lyrical messages.

Just like his CMA New Artist of the Year speech, he is hyping fans up and encouraging them to vote again for the three awards he is nominated for this year.

“We are back up for three awards again, baby. We can do it again with your help…please y’all, this was truly one of the launch pads that made last year the greatest year of my career. Let’s recreate magic and history again.”

This year’s awards will be held on April 7th, once again in Austin, Texas. Jelly Roll hopes to have another three-peat, taking home all of his nominated awards again. If there is one thing that is for sure, country music has embraced Jelly Roll & Bunnie Xo since last year’s award ceremony. Their big hearts and larger-than-life personalities have captivated fans beyond the music, making him a force to be reckoned with.

After his knockout year, which included a CMA Award win and a Grammy nomination, I feel as though Jelly Roll might be in luck to have his dreams come true again.

@officialjellyrollLets do it again y’all! So thankful to CMT amd to everyone who voted- what a wild year it’s been! 🙏🏼
