Making it an annual event.

Last year, many in country music came together at the Grand Ole Opry, to honor Leslie Jordan, the Will & Grace actor and aspiring country star himself, who passed away in 2022.

Reportin’ for Duty: A Tribute To Leslie Jordan featured artists like Lukas Nelson, Brothers Osborne, Billy Strings and Jelly Roll honoring the late comedian, whose death was ruled to have been due to suffering from a cardiac arrest while driving to the studio to film Call Me Kat.

And now, after originally planning for that to be a one-off tribute, organizers have announced that it will become an annual event – with some massive talent already signing on for 2024.

Jelly Roll will once again appear to pay tribute to Jordan, alongside Post Malone, the War & Treaty, and Pearl Jam guitarist Eddie Vedder. Proceeds from the event will go to a cause that Jordan supported throughout his life: The EB Research Foundation, an organization founded by Vedder which funds research for Epidermolysis Bullosa, a life-threatening skin disorder, which affects Vedder’s son.

Aside from being a popular actor, Jordan became a beloved social media figure during the COVID pandemic for his humorous and relatable videos on Instagram.

But Jordan was also a big fan of country music (especially Dolly Parton).

And in 2021, he teamed up with Dolly, along with stars like Brandi Carlile, TJ Osborne, Tanya Tucker, Ashley McBryde, Charlie Worsham, and Chris and Morgane Stapleton, for a full-blown country album, called Company’s Comin’. And he had even appeared as a guest at the Grand Ole Opry alongside some of his heroes.

Reportin’ for Duty will be held on Saturday, February 17 at the world’s longest bar, Humble Baron at the Nearest Green Whiskey Distillery.

Tickets are on sale now, but with only 250 seats available, they’re sure to go quick for this special tribute.
