One of country music’s most prestigious accomplishments.
Oliver Anthony is set to make his Grand Ole Opry debut in just a little more than two weeks, taking the stage for what will certainly be a sold out show after his skyrocket to fame when his song of“Rich Men North Of Richmond” went mega viral (to put it mildly) earlier this year.
Anthony is also gearing up to hit the road with his 2024 headlining Out of The Woods Tour that kicks off in February (and also includes a few European stops), but I’m sure this date is certainly circled on the calendar, as it’s something most artists work for years to achieve.
It’s not how most people do it, but clearly his music speaks to people in a very profound way that has allowed him to take a different route, and while he still has yet to release much music to streaming or put out a real, full-length album, I’d venture to say that’s probably coming next year too.
Anthony shared the Opry news himself on Instagram this morning, saying he’s “thrilled” to step into that hollowed circle on December 16th:
“You know what this means… thrilled to perform on December 16th at the Opry!”
