The 2024 Grammy nominations are officially IN.

Announced today by the Recording Academy, I have to give the Grammy’s credit where it’s due, as they nominated some very deserving people in country music this year.

Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan were both nominated multiple times in categories, and Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Dolly Parton, Billy Strings and Willie Nelson were all nominated, as well.

Kacey Musgraves even returns to the GRAMMY nominations list for her duet with Zach on “I Remember Everything,” which is up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song, and I think should win in both categories, honestly.

The Best Country Album category includes Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini, Brothers Osborne and Zach and Tyler, which all put out solid albums and seem to have a real shot at winning the award.

In terms of the all-genre “big four” categories, which includes Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist, just a couple country artists were nominated in Jelly Roll and The War and Treaty with the New Artist nod.

All things considered, they did a decent enough job… which makes sense, because they’re typically much more fair than country’s own CMA and ACM awards shows when it comes nominations and artists outside of the mainstream view.

And of course we all have our own opinions about who should’ve been nominated where, but it’s definitely a solid group overall.
