Aaron Rodgers Takes A Jab At Travis Kelce For Pfizer Commercials: “Mr. Pfizer, We Kinda Shut Him Down”

Travis Kelce Aaron Rodgers
Pat McAfee Show

Shots fired (no pun intended).

On Sunday night, the Kansas City Chiefs took on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, and boy, it was a great one.

After Kansas City took a large 17-0 lead in the first quarter, New York came charging back and tied the ballgame in the third quarter at 20 a piece. The Chiefs kicked a field goal in the fourth quarter, and the Jets had an opportunity to go down the field and potentially take the lead or kick a game tying field goal.

However, Jets quarterback Zach Wilson fumbled the ball while under center, and the Chiefs recovered, ultimately leading to a Chiefs win 23-20.

It was an unfortunate game for Wilson, who has struggled mightily since their week one overtime win against the Buffalo Bills after Aaron Rodgers injured his Achilles.

He had his best game of the season against the Chiefs throwing for 245 yards and two touchdowns, but his fumble late in the fourth quarter ultimately cost the Jets the game.

Rodgers himself is looking at the bright spots of the game, and is taking a jab (again, no pun intended) at Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce while he’s at it on The Pat McAfee Show.

Kelce has been starring in a new Pfizer commercial for the latest COVID-19 vaccinations.

And naturally, since Aaron Rodgers is very outspoken against the COVID-19 vaccine, the Jets quarterback couldn’t help but say on the show:

“Mr. Pfizer we kind of shut him down a little bit. He didn’t have no crazy impact on the game.

You know he had some yards and stuff, but for the most part I felt we played really tough on defense for the last three quarters.”

Now if there’s one thing for certain about Rodgers, besides the fact he’s 100% a future Hall of Famer, it’s that he’s not afraid to speak his mind.

Check it out:

Later on in the show, Pat asked if Aaron’s had the “Mr. Pfizer” line in his back pocket for a while.

To which, Aaron replied:

“He’s doing commercials for Pfizer so I’m sure he’s owning it…”

Of course, he’s doing a lot of commercials, and the whole Taylor Swift thing, so there’s no shortage of Travis Kelce press right now.
