George Strait Is In The Studio Working On New Music, With The Help Of Chris Stapleton And Producer Tony Brown

The King of country music himself, Mr. George Strait, appears to be back in the studio working on some new music… and that is, quite literally, music to my ears.

Legendary country producer Tony Brown shared a photo on his Facebook page yesterday of George with the crew of people who are helping create the music, and if you look directly behind George in the photo, you’ll see none other than Chris Stapleton in there, too.

The group picture also included a caption posted by Tony’s team that says they’re working on “new music from George Strait” at Castle Recording Studios in Franklin, Tennessee.

I mean, talk about some great news to wake up to on a Tuesday morning:

George most recently put out his Honky Tonk Time Machine album in 2019, which included the Gold-certified hit “Every Little Honky Tonk Bar,” so I’d say we’re long overdue for some new music from The King.

He’s also been out on the road this summer hitting stadiums all over the country with Chris Stapleton, and they’re doing it again next summer, so this collab was destined to happen eventually, I think.

We’ll have to wait and see what exactly all of it means, but for now, we can rest easy knowing that George is back in the studio doing what he does best.

Stay tuned…

George Strait And Chris Stapleton Announce NINE New Stadium Shows For 2024

King George and Chris Stapleton have officially extended their stadium tour to 2024, announcing nine new shows for next summer.

They went on a short but mighty run this past summer, along with openers Little Big Town, and will be stopping in nine new cities including Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Ames, Charlotte, East Rutherford, Salt Lake City, Detroit and Chicago next year.

In addition, Strait will also have a massive Strait to Vegas residency show with a December date at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium to mark the 37th installment of the NFR.

He says it’s been a joy seeing all of the fans at the 2023 stadium shows, and he can’t wait to stop in new cities next year and give even more fans a chance to see the concert:

“I’ve always said we have the best fans in the world, and to see so many of them show up for these shows just makes us want to keep bringing them more.

I’ve also missed performing in Las Vegas during NFR, so I’m happy to see that show come together in 2024. See you soon!”

Tickets to most shows go on sale Friday, September 22nd at 10AM local time, with tickets to the Jacksonville show on sale Friday, October 20th at 10AM local time.
