The three-year gap from their last album, Skeleton, has come to a close with the release of Brothers Osborne.
The Brothers are back and in a big way.
Brothers Osborne’s self-titled fourth studio album continues highlighting their captivating southern rock and roll sound.
“It’s been nearly 3 years since our last album dropped. A lot of change has happened in our lives and in the world as a whole. As we continue to evolve as people, so does our sound. But through it all, we are still us. For better and for worse at times.
We self-titled this album as it is the meeting point between who we’ve become, and who we’ve always been. Our music is Big Tent Country. A little something for everyone and everyone’s invited.
We thank y’all for your patience, love, and unwavering support. Can’t wait to bring these songs to you out on the road.”
The current holders of CMA Duo of the Year might have a chance to snag that acclaimed award again this year with their nomination and after the release of this album. TJ and John co-wrote each track house on the album, making it authentically theirs.
John notes:
“We are always pushing ourselves, always evolving and not afraid to change. But at the end of the day, we are also who we are.”
Their tactic of boldly embracing who they are and sharing their struggles through song has been more than successful and is highlighted once again throughout each track on Brothers Osborne.
In April, the duo released a three-track EP, Nobody’s Nobody, teasing what the future album would hold, creating a solid start for hype to build up.
Today, along with the album, they released the music video for “Nobody’s Nobody,” directed by Wes Edwards and Ryan “Flash” Silver.
The album highlights the dynamic sound of Brothers Osborne through rock ‘n’ roll tracks that make you want to hold up a drink, like “Who Says You Can’t Have Everything” and “Sun Ain’t Even Down Yet,” to more melancholy tracks like “Back Home” and “We Ain’t Good At Breaking Up” which highlights Miranda Lambert’s back up vocals.
TJ weighs in on the significance associated with the release of this record:
“This is a defining record at this point in our career, where we needed to put it all on our shoulders.
And we did. Like it was when we were growing up, it’s just John and me.”
To celebrate four newly announced tour dates in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Nashville.
John and TJ note that these shows will differ from others focused on highlighting the album’s sound, with a sprinkling of their older hits.
