The story of the retired doctor arrested in Nantucket Harbor just got more interesting.

Last week, Scott Anthony Burke, 69, was arrested aboard his yacht after police received a call that a woman felt unsafe on board. Upon police arrival, drugs, illegal firearms, and prostitutes were found aboard.

“The subsequent search of the yacht allegedly uncovered about 43 grams of cocaine, 14 grams of ketamine, a .380 pistol, three 30-round 9 millimeter magazines, a 12-round magazine in a 9-millimeter pistol, according to the police report.”

Once all parties were removed from the boat, more revelations came to light from the wild boat afternoon in the sleepy harbor town.

After police obtained a warrant and searched the boat, the Nantucket Current reported on the additional findings on the ship. And buckle up folks… this already wild story becomes wilder.

The woman who was removed from the boat, who claimed she felt unsafe, noted in police documents that:

“They were doing drugs all weekend long, and people on the boat had been making pornographic films.”

Reports also identify that the drugs onboard the boat included ketamine, Adderall, ecstasy and cocaine. The man who identified these additional findings was a man who was aboard the vessel.

However, when Burke’s legal team was asked about the statements, they responded that all those statements were false.

“He’s a bitter ex-boyfriend who was upset she wouldn’t come see him, and I wouldn’t put much stock in anything he has to say. His accounts are inconsistent.”

Said Burke’s lawyer, Hank Brennan.

After Burke’s arrest, police say he was extremely uncooperative, leading to his detainment.

The DEA noted they found the following once they seized and searched the vessel.

“They confiscated 43.4 grams of cocaine, 14.1 grams of ketamine, and two pistols – a .380 Smith Wesson Shield and a 9mm Smith & Wesson – along with various ammunition.”

Burke’s bail was set at $200,000 after these additional findings and will await trial for the formal charges.

The New York Post also reported that the retired doctor is fighting stage four terminal cancer and is not expected to live much longer.

Hearing that, it sounds like this is a case of Burke living his life to the fullest… you know, going out with a bang, in a fury of drugs and hookers. Who are we to say that is illegal?

Maybe not the way some others would choose to spend their last months, but hey… live your dream, I guess.

Luckily for him, he has the money to make bail and can spend his last days making pornos before he ever has to go to court.
