I don’t think this would have been on anyone’s bingo card.
This is probably the wildest outdoor video I have seen this year. A woman took to TikTok to share a video of a mangled gator wrapped up in the propeller of their fishing boat on the Alabama River.
Given that alligators are extremely intelligent and cunning when it comes to hunting and other survival tactics, before reading the caption, I was going to take a wild guess that his gator just found himself in a bout of bad luck: wrong time, wrong place kind of situation.
The video poster shared that the clip was taken in 2018 when she and some friends were noodling on the Alabama River.
“One of those things where if you didn’t see it, you wouldn’t have believed it.
Back in 2018, we were noodling on the Alabama River. As we were trolling with our motor through the canal, our motor locked up.
We raised it up, and THIS was in there!
After further investigation, we found a hole in its head where someone had shot him. We just so happened to run over him just right, and he got stuck in the motor prop.
We don’t noodle on the Alabama River anymore…”
It turns out this gator was really in the wrong place wrong time, not once, but twice. In the video, you can see the gator’s body completely mangled in the motor prop.
I don’t think they teach you how to remove that from a prop in boating school…
And yeah, I’m with you… hard pass on ever noodling in the Alabama River again.
