The corn queen has new music on the way very soon.

Hailey Whitters just announced her I’m In Love EP is slated to drop on July 28th, which features the title track that’s out everywhere today that I’ve already had on repeat.

Written by Nicolle Galyon, Lee Miller and Cameron Bedell, Hailey says it’s one of those songs she wished she’d written, adding that she loves the “quirky language and spirit” as much as I do:

ā€œI knew the minute I heard this song I had to record it.

I didnā€™t write it (Nicolle Galyon, Lee Miller, & Cameron Bedell did), but I wish I had. I love – pun intended – the quirky language and spirit.

Every time I sing it Iā€™m smiling like a big ol sap because it just makes me so happy and puts me in a good mood.ā€

And in terms of the new EP, which features six songs including her current radio single and fan-favorite “Everything She Ain’t,” Hailey says the concept will focus on who she is now and the journey to get to this point in her life, so it will be even more personal than her previous full-length releases The Dream (2020) and Raised (2022):

“My last two LPs were concept records – ‘The Dream’ being about my Nashville experience, and ‘Raised’ was a love letter to the heartland I’m from.

Both of these records are foundational to who I am. Along the way I’ve lived a lot of life and learned a lot about myself, and I’m excited to get more personal and straight from the heart with this next chapter.

If youā€™ve made it this far, you know where I’m coming from. Now I’m ready to share where I’ve been and who I am.”

Hailey most recently put out her third studio albumĀ Raised early last year, and her current single at country radio ā€œEverything She Ainā€™tā€Ā is still steadily climbing the charts, well on its way to becoming a Top 10 hit that is already a fan-favorite and streaming smash by any considerable metric.

And when it comes time to pick a new single, I can easily see “I’m In Love” becoming another fan-favorite, because it’s just so dang cute, super catchy, and very uniquely Hailey with a little bit of 90’s flair in the production.

Based on this single alone, I think we’re in for another great project from the Iowa native, and I can’t wait to hear it.
