Colorado University Head Coach Deion Sanders has had a lot of recent medical issues, and one connected his blood clotting condition will rush him into the hospital for surgery tomorrow.

It has only been six days since “Coach Prime” told the media of a possible foot amputation due to blood clotting issues in his left leg, and now, Sanders will be entering into surgery at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning to alleviate a blood clot in his groin.

Sanders has already lost two toes to blood clots, and has recently taken to Instagram to talk about his lack of blood flow in his left foot, saying that he no longer has feeling in the bottom part of his foot.

“As you know, I’ve faced some medical challenges with my foot but I’ve never said ‘why me.’ I keep moving forward, progressing.

See you never know what a person may be going through while I sit in your seat of judgement, but you can trust and believe that we are all going through something. Just keep the faith and know that if He brought you to it, He will bring you through it.

I’m Coach Prime and I’m built for this.”

The news of the emergency surgery was announced on The Pat McAfee Show earlier today:

And was then confirmed by Sanders himself when he issued a statement about the details of the surgery and other things that he wanted people to hear from him on his Instagram account.

The video is captioned:

“They say the TRUTH will MAKE you FREE. So here’s the TRUTH.”

Coach Prime revealed that the emergency surgery should help with blood flow issues with his legs, which would then allow doctors to work on his other clotting issues.

He also confirmed that the surgery would be taking place early tomorrow morning, but did not specify a location for the operation.
