Yep, this is a little bit too close for comfort for me.
It’s pretty common to know that whenever you see a bear, make sure to keep your distance from it – because it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that these creatures have the power to send you to the afterlife.
And then you have ol’ buddy who likes to talk about how he could wrestle one with his bare hands and win after drinking a few too many beers on a Friday night, but he isn’t included in this conversation.
Of course, bears are typically more scared of you than you are of them, but you must stay cautious, because the second that bear is convinced you pose a threat to it or its cubs, it’s ballgame.
About the only way you could get me close to a bear would be with an expert who has been studying the creature for basically their whole life.
And if you ever wondered just how knowledgeable a bear expert/guide is about these creatures, look no further than this video.
In the video, you can see a massive Alaskan brown bear staring a group of people in the eyes, only a few yards away.
Luckily, this group was with a good bear guide, and perhaps the wildest part of the video is the fact he exactly predicted what the bear was gonna do.
You can hear him tell the group:
“She’s gonna come in about another five steps, and she’s gonna bounce at me. Okay? Be ready for it. Okay, see?”
Sure enough, the bear does exactly what the guide says it’s gonna do, and takes a few steps and leaps towards him before turning around.
My guy knows Alaskan brown bears like the back of his hand. Pretty impressive, I must say.
