We all know that Morgan Wallen is on top of the world when it comes to mainstream country music, after becoming a household name within the past two years.

His 2021 Dangerous: The Double Album spent a staggering 98 weeks at number one on the country albums chart, shattering every previous record.

It seemed impossible to follow up an album that was that monumental, but sure enough he did it again with his latest project, One Thing At A Time, as it spent a VERY respectable 12 weeks at number one.

So, as you can imagine, just about every country music festival has to be dying to get Wallen to headline.

Morgan was scheduled to headline Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach, Florida this year, which kicked off this weekend. But unfortunately, that performance was one that Morgan was forced to cancel when he was ordered to go on vocal rest.

After Morgan had to pull out, Kenny Chesney was announced as the replacement headliner – which left some fans excited, but others who had planned on going to the festival specifically to see Morgan Wallen were disappointed.

Well good news for those fans: Wallen is officially headlining the Gulf Coast Jam in 2024, slated for May 30th-June 2nd in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Festival executive producer Rendy Lovelady couldn’t contain the excitement:

“As we said last year, Morgan Wallen is one of the most requested headliners we have ever had in the history of Gulf Coast Jam, and his star is continuing to shine even brighter.

We’ve been working feverishly with Morgan and his team over the last three weeks to figure out a way to get him down here next year, and we’re happy to announce he is locked for 2024!”

Gulf Coast Jam COO Mark Sheldon added:

“We were all saddened to hear Morgan was forced to cancel his festival appearance this year, however we all wish him well and are honored to have Kenny Chesney step in to perform this Saturday to keep the weekend rockin’ for our Jammers.

We’re going to have a blast this week with HARDY, Miranda Lambert, Chesney, Kane Brown, and 20+ additional amazing artists.”
