Jake Owen has a new album on the way.
He just announced this morning that his new project Loose Cannon will be out everywhere next month on June 23rd, a little over four years since his last full-length album Greetings From… was released.
He recruited some of the most popular writers in Nashville to help pen the 16-song tracklist, including Ashley Gorley, Brent Cobb, Rodney Clawson, Jessie Jo Dillon, Luke Laird and more.
Jake says he’s looking forward to finally giving his fans some new music, adding that it “feels like the best version of me”:
“I can’t wait to share this new wave of music with my fans. This album is a long time coming and feels like the best version of me.
Grab your buddies, put the boat in the water, pour a cold one out and we’ll catch y’all out on the lake. It’s the best time of year and we’re ready to celebrate.”
Jake also announced on Instagram that there would be four new songs dropping this Friday ahead of the Memorial Day weekend holiday to blast on the boat all summer long, and even shared an acoustic teaser of the title track:
“4 songs droppin’ this Friday at midnight… the early ‘teaser’ to the actual album titled ‘Loose Cannon’ dropping June 23rd!!!!!!!”
