This looks so badass.

The first trailer for Killers of the Flower Moon, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and country music’s own Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson, and was directed by Martin Scorsese, is out everywhere today.

The movie is about a Native American tribe, the Osage tribe, who were forced to abruptly move and face tons of persecution during the Trail of Tears.

According to Variety, here’s a quick synopsis of the film:

“The Apple Original Film adaptation takes place in 1920s Oklahoma and depicts a string of brutal murders of Osage Nation Native Americans, which came to be known as the Reign of Terror.

The Osage Nation, who were the richest people per capita in the world, were killed one by one after oil was discovered on their land. As the death toll rose, the newly-created FBI took up the case and unraveled a chilling conspiracy and one of the most monstrous crimes in American history.”

Two of the main characters, DiCaprio (who plays Ernest Burkhart), and Lily Gladstone (who plays Mollie Burkhart, a Native American woman), get married, and the movie chronicles the series of the terrible things that happen to Mollie’s family.

Sturgill Simpson will play rodeo champion and bootlegger Henry Grammer, who also happens to be a good friend of William “Bill” Hale (played by Robert De Niro). Meanwhile, Jason Isbell will play Bill Smith, the white husband of a Native American woman who is tragically killed in an explosion.

The first look at it with the new trailer opens with DiCaprio’s character, Ernest Burkhart, saying:

“There are many, so many, hungry wolves. Can you find the wolves in this picture?”

And goes through many different clips and parts of the movie that looks really good, and of course, very well done with Scorsese at the helm.

The film will be jointly-release by Apple TV and Paramount in theaters on October 18th.
