Buck Squares Up With A Black Bear In The Middle Of A Golf Course Pond

Bear fighting deer

Nature at its finest.

Or harshest…

But man, oh man it is wild out there…. even at the golf courses.

Deer seem to have it rough though, as everything out there wants to have a piece of them. Whether it’s hunters, predators, disease or traffic, deer are always in a constant state of survival mode.

Black bears are predators, capable of taking down a variety of prey, including small mammals, birds, fish, and carrion. Black bears are omnivorous, and their diet consists of plants, berries, nuts, and insects.

They are large animals that can weigh as much as 600 pounds. They run fast, climb well and bite hard making them ready for many situations in the wild.

White-tailed deer are found throughout North America. They are agile animals that can reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour as they have to try to evade many predators. They are herbivores and mainly feed on grass, leaves, and twigs. Deer are a favorite for many predators as they are small enough to take down but large enough for a great meal.

This buck is seen standing in a pond on a golf course as a black bear sizes him up from the edge. The deer tries to escape but the bear is hot on his tail so he doubles back for the water. The bear is weary of going out but eventually starts the journey out.

The buck waits for the bear to get to him before standing up and delivering some kicks as the bear lunges towards him. The deer then goes for a run, gaining ground quickly and getting free from the bear.

What a wild thing to witness when out for a round.

You gotta hand it to the deer though, doesn’t look like that was his first rodeo.

Nature doesn’t care what you are doing.
