Reba is officially joining The Voice as a coach.

After being the Mega Mentor for Season 23 of NBC’s singing competition show, she’s signing on to be a coach alongside fellow coaches John Legend, Niall Horan and Gwen Stefani starting for Season 24 this fall.

Of course, she’ll be replacing Blake Shelton in representing the country genre, after he announced last year that he would be stepping away from the show after 12 years as a coach and 8 winning seasons.

Reba shared the announcement on Twitter:

“There’s a new Coach in town! See you all this Fall!”

Funny enough, Reba was actually the producers’ first choice back when they started the American version of the show over 10 years ago now, but it wasn’t the right career move for her at the time.

Blake quickly became a fan-favorite, and Reba also agreed that he was the right person for the job, jokingly adding that she wished she would have known how successful it would be with viewers:

“After you see a very successful show that’s been running what? Fifteen years! Ugh, yeah! I’m like shoot, I should have done that!”

She also told Billboard that filling those shoes is gonna be tough:

“To fill Blake’s chair? Wow. That’s gonna be tough… he did a great job and kudos to him.”

And that’s not the only thing the country legend has going on this fall, as Reba’s also gearing up to put out  a new album NOT THAT FANCY, which coincides with her forthcoming lifestyle book Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots.

She already released the lead single from the project too, a remake of her 1998 hit with Brooks & Dunn, “If You See Him, If You See Her”:

Reba’s book will go on sale on October 10th, and the album will be out everywhere on October 6th.
