The CMA Fest lineup just got a hell of a lot better.

We’re less than a month from the annual country music festival here in Nashville, which features tons of free music throughout the day to go along with the nightly ticketed shows at Nissan Stadium.

There are a few highlights on this year’s lineup, including Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Ashley McBryde, Cody Johnson and Carly Pearce. But there are a lot of names at Nissan Stadium that don’t interest me a whole lot, especially considering each artist usually only gets to play a handful of songs during their set.

Well if you’re in the same boat, CMA Fest just announced another option for Friday night – and this one might just be right up your alley.

The Cadillac Three will be headlining and hosting the Friday night CMA Fest show at Ascend Amphitheater, just across the river from Nissan Stadium and right off of Broadway in downtown Nashville.

And they’ll be joined by a hell of a lineup, including Boy Named Banjo, Randy Rogers Band, Elvie Shane and Tenille Townes.

Ascend Amphitheater usually hosts shows on Friday and Saturday night that run at the same time as the show at Nissan Stadium, although I honestly prefer going to the shows at Ascend because it’s less hassle and usually the lineup interests me more.

Sure, seeing Cody Johnson play a couple songs would be awesome, but I don’t really want to have to sit through 2 hours of (insert generic pop country artist here) just to get to somebody I’m actually interested in.

If you’re in the same boat, I’ll see you at Ascend on Friday, June 9 to rock out to The Cadillac Three.

Tickets for the Ascend Amphitheater show are only $15, and go on sale tomorrow, May 12 at 10 AM central.
