Kat Hasty is known for her deep, yet relatable songwriting, but every now and then, she’ll throw in some humorous, middle finger to the air songs that you can’t help but put on repeat.
For example, her biggest hit to date “Pretty Things” is all about an old flame who ended things with her because she didn’t fit his upscale lifestyle.
And now, she’s back at it again with “Damn Fine Livin’.”
She announced the song a couple weeks back with a teaser clip on social media, of her belting the chorus of the song alongside her friends around a bonfire.
Fast forward a couple weeks later, and the song is out everywhere now.
“Damn Fine Livin'” is a hilarious, and also incredibly catchy tune about how her former significant other has made her a “Damn Fine Livin'” because of all the times he’s broke her heart, which has ultimately led to her writing some of her biggest hits.
Channeling her inner Taylor Swift, here’s a look at the chorus:
