Jesse Daniel Drops First Ever Live Album, ‘My Kind Of Country Live At The Catalyst’

Jesse Daniel Country Music

It’s finally here.

Back in January, Jesse Daniel announced he was dropping his first ever live album, straight from The Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz, California, which is his hometown.

The title of the recording is My Kind of Country Live at the Catalyst, and Daniel shared a heartfelt message to Instagram about the upcoming release, writing:

“I grew up going to shows at Catalyst Club from a young age and I always dreamed of one day standing on that stage with a band of my own. I got my start at their tiny upstairs bar, playing to friends, family and whoever would listen…. even worked there as a stagehand and security.

At work, I’d see touring bands come and go, living out the dream I desperately wanted to make my own reality. That dream stayed by my side as I played every room that’d have me. Made my own flyers at FedEx and taped them shamelessly on every telephone pole, bulletin board and window in town. I’d busk downtown and tell folks passing to come to my shows.

I built a strong base of dedicated fans there who have supported me since the very beginning. Last year my dream became a reality when we had the opportunity to make our first ever live album at The Catalyst.

We played our hearts out for a sold-out crowd and captured it all. I can’t put into words how proud I am of this record, Jodi, my band and of all the people who helped make it happen. I’ll never forget where I came from and I’ll always be a Son of the San Lorenzo.

‘My Kind Of Country Live at The Catalyst’ is available for pre-order now and will be released on 3/24/2023.”

With that being said, the day has officially come.

Featuring 12 of Daniel’s best songs, the album is the perfect opportunity to get the idea of what you can expect at one of his electric live shows. If you’ve seen Jesse live, you already know that he has one of best live shows in the business, a true honky tonk hero with one of the tightest backing bands in country music.

If you haven’t… this is all the convincing you’re gonna need.

Here’s a few of my favorites:

“Think I’ll Stay”

“Lookin’ Back”

“Streets of Watsonville”
