Badger Ragdolls A Fox After It Tries To Steal Some Dog Food

Badger

That is a strange scene.

A badger eating dog food, then going at it with a fox isn’t something you see every day.

American badgers are carnivorous beasts that love digging in the ground. Their appearance is distinctive with the stripes on their face. They can weigh anywhere up to 30 pounds and grow up to 3 feet in length.

They are solitary animals and are generally not social with other badgers, except during the breeding season. They primarily feed on small mammals, such as rodents and ground squirrels, but they have also been known to eat snakes, birds, and insects.

European badgers on the other hand, aside from some slight physical difference, tend to be much more social and also more omnivorous compared to their American counterparts.

Red foxes are also carnivorous and can weigh up to 15 pounds. Foxes are typically solitary animals, but they may form small family groups during the breeding season. They are great hunters and will eat a anything they can like rodents, rabbits, birds and insects.

Foxes and badgers generally stay away from each other but occasionally cross paths when competing for food or space. Badgers typically have the upper hand in terms of fighting abilities and strength.

This European badger (I believe somewhere in the UK) is seen eating away out of a dog’s dish that we can assume the owners put out on their deck. A red fox approaches from behind and checks out what’s going on. The badger notices and quickly leaves.

The fox thinks the coast is clear and goes in for a snack. However, another badger quickly runs back and grabs onto the backside of the fox flipping it over. It then violently bashes the poor fox back and forth against the ground before the fox can escape and run off.

The person who took the video confirmed the fox was later seen sporting a noticeable limp.

I bet that fox won’t go near anymore badgers…

Judging by some other videos, the owner of the property seems to have a habit of feeding the animals nearby:

Somebody Sent JJ Watt A Stuffed Badger As A Retirement Gift

WHAT.

Incase you haven’t heard, star NFL defensive end and future Hall of Famer JJ Watt announced his retirement at the end of the regular season:

“Koa’s first ever NFL game.

My last ever NFL home game.

My heart is filled with nothing but love and gratitude. It’s been an absolute honor and a pleasure.”

Oh yeah, and the Arizona Cardinals put together a tear jerker of a farewell video for him as well, featuring his brother and fellow NFL defensive end TJ Watt, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Dak Prescott, Tom Brady, his parents, his wife and son, and more, and it’ll absolutely wreck you watching JJ’s reaction.

Grab the Kleenex:

I mean my God, that’s how you make a grown man cry.

I’m sure JJ has been flooded with phone calls, gifts, and so much more over the past couple of weeks, so much so that he probably can’t even keep count anymore or remember all of them.

However, this gift right here is certainly one that won’t be slipping his mind anytime soon…

What I’m guessing came from a fan from Watt’s alma mater, Wisconsin, he received a whole ass badger in a package.

Not gonna lie, when I first saw this tweet, I was shook. I thought it was real. I mean look at it, this thing looks like it would jump out of the box and bite you in the damn face.

Of course, it’s either fake or was taken to a taxidermist after dying (thank God). Nevertheless, this is one that cousin Eddie from Christmas Vacation would call:

“The gift that keeps on giving.”
