Ring Doorbell Helps Homeowner Tell The Cops A Suspect Is Hiding In Her Trash Can

Cop doorbell

Not gonna lie, I have some mixed feelings about Ring doorbell cameras. Of course, they’re awesome for knowing when a package has been delivered, or when somebody, including an intruder, is trying to get into your house.

However, considering I live right near a sketchy part of town where freaks walk up and down the sidewalk all day, and the back of my bed backs up to the front porch, I’d almost rather not know about the tweakers that are swatting “demons” in my driveway or front porch while I’m passed out asleep.

But, this example right here perfectly displays just how great Ring doorbells truly can be…

Even in this incredibly bizarre scenario.

Here you can see a police officer pacing around the front yard, a bit winded, appearing to be looking for something or somebody.

The homeowner answers the Ring doorbell while she’s at work, asking if someone is there.

The officer responds:

“Yes this is Officer Soros with Arnold Police Department… I just chased the subject around your house, and I was just making sure he wouldn’t have came in here. Do you guys have any kids?”

The homeowner responds no, and only her and her husband live there and they’re both at work.

The officer then asks if she’s received any motion detection around her house as they’re looking for a subject in a red t-shirt, and sure enough she responds:

“HE’S IN MY TRASH CAN! HE’S IN MY DUMPSTER! HE’S IN MY TRASH CAN BY MY GARAGE!”

They run to the dumpster in front of the garage, and what do ya know… they found the culprit hiding out in the trash can.

The suspect tries to flee, but doesn’t get very far as the cops handcuff him.

And while the arrest is being made, you can hear the homeowner say in the background:

“I just solved a crime, no big deal!”

Talk about a helluva story this woman will get to tell for the rest of her life.
