Kyle Busch Gives Most Kyle Busch Interview Ever After Daytona 500: “Come Down Here Every Year To Find Out When I’m Gonna Crash”

Gotta love a pissed off Kyle Busch… it’s just good TV.

The 65th annual running of the Great American Race was underway in Daytona, Florida, today, with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. winning his first-ever Daytona 500 to kick off the 2023 NASCAR season.

Like always, there were a ton of fireworks right at the end there, with multiple cautions coming in the final laps. And also like always, Kyle Busch was not a happy camper following the race.

Kyle is chasing his first career win at the Daytona 500, a win that has eluded him for nearly 20 years… and he was pretty damn close today.

He was the leader at the 200 lap mark, which ordinarily would’ve given him the checkered flag, however a caution with 2 laps to go sent the race into overtime at Daytona International Speedway.

The race went back to green on lap 208, making it the longest Daytona 500 in history.

Stenhouse was neck and neck with Joey Logano for the lead on the final lap, when Travis Pastrana got turned into Kyle Larson, sending Larson into the wall and the rest of the field piling into a wreck… including Kyle Busch who was in third place at the time.

And needless to say, he was pissed.

Following his release from the infield care center, he gave this hilarious interview to the post race reporters:

“I think this was the first time I led lap 200 so I wish it was 1998 rules, but’s it’s just par for the course, used to it…

Come down here every year just to find out when and where I’m gone crash and what lap I come out of the infield care center.”

When asked if he was confident coming into the race, he admitted to the crap shoot nature of the Daytona 500 lately:

“I don’t think you’re ever confident, who won? I don’t even know who lucked into it.”

And when they told him Stenhouse, he delivered the most sarcastic response of all time:

“There you have it.”

Hilarious… every time, he’s hilarious.

I wouldn’t mind Rowdy winning his first Daytona 500, but at the expense of this comedy? I don’t think so…
