Ah, Walmart.
I’m fully convinced that the supermarket is the only place you can find multi-millionaires buying big screen TVs, and a tweaked out meth head in the same place…
Or, in this case, a knife wielding man who threatens the whole store so he can get a box of oatmeal for free.
And yes, the above scenario actually happened at a Walmart in South Carolina (besides the box of oatmeal, there’s no telling what he was trying to do).
The incident went down at the Walmart in Columbia, South Carolina last Wednesday, where you can visibly see a dude waving around a pocket knife and threatening employees and shoppers.
While he was threating to cut up just about everybody who was around him, Demario Davis, a veteran who was shopping at the time with his son, did the Lord’s work and took out the knife wielding dude with a stanchion, straight over the head.
Davis recalled the wild scene to FOX News:
“I was at the checkout when my son noticed the guy walk in with the knife open. He then proceeded to the service desk waving the knife at a few female employees.”
He also heard the culprit telling shoppers and workers:
“When the cops get here, I’m going to start cutting you all up.”
That’s when the military instincts kicked in:
“That’s when my military training kicked in and I casually walked over to the object not only to take him down but also protect myself in case I failed, but with my great military training, I was able to neutralize the threat until law enforcement arrived.”
After Davis hit the culprit over the head, customers held him down until the police arrived to the scene.
Police say that he had to be taken to the hospital for evaluation after the move.
I mean, could you imagine? You’re just trying to get some milk and eggs for your family, and my guy is wielding a knife at the self checkout line.
That’s enough for me to never step foot in a Walmart ever again.
