Well, this certainly will not suck.

Steve Earle, Sheryl Crow, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff, Robert Earl Keen, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Vincent Neil Emerson, Shinyribs and Emily Gimble are set to be featured on the forthcoming live tribute album in honor of the great Willie Nelson, One Night in Texas: The Next Waltz’s Tribute to The Red Headed Stranger.

Spearheaded by Bruce Robison, singer, songwriter, producer and owner of Austin, Texas-based record label The Next Waltz, they recorded the live tracks on May 1st, 2022, during Willie’s 89th birthday celebration at his ranch in Luck, Texas.

The record is set to be released on April 28th, 2023 — just one day before Willie turns 90 years old.

Bruce says it was a dream come true to be part of putting this project together:

“To put together a night of Willie Nelson music was a dream for me.

His music has always been a part of my life, guiding me like the North Star. It’s the soundtrack to living in Texas.”

With Steve Earle singing “Pancho and Lefty,” Robert Earl Keen taking “Pick Up The Tempo” and Ray Wylie Hubbard covering “Whiskey River,” I absolutely cannot wait to hear every single song on this special record.
