According to Variety, she’s already a hit on TikTok, just like she is everywhere else… I mean, did you expect anything less?
Take a look at some of the numbers:
“To date, videos with the hashtags #DollyParton and #DollyTok have 6.4 billion video views.
Per TikTok, #DollyTok is a subcommunity whose daily postings celebrate her music, movies and larger-than-life personality.
Top Parton tracks on TikTok include ‘9 to 5,’ ‘Jolene’ and ‘Islands In the Stream,’ her chart-topping duet with the late Kenny Rogers.”
And I have a feeling they’re only gonna skyrocket from here, now that she has a real deal, verified account she’ll be sharing on all the time.
There are already seven videos up, including one that has a clip of a new song called “Berry Pie” (which she has exclusively on the app), asking fans to share some of their holiday baking fiascos with her using that sound:
“I’ve had my fair share of baking blunders, and the holidays are full of them! Share your holiday #bakingblunders with me using #berry pie🧁.”
Dolly was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Famelast month, and confirmed that she’s putting out a rock album next year called Rock Star, so maybe she’ll share a few teasers on this new account if we’re lucky.
You can now add TikTok star to her lengthy list of accomplishments, which also includes 11 Grammy Awards, in addition to being the most honored female country singer-songwriter of all time, with 26 #1 hits, 47 career top 10 country albums (a record for any artist), and 110 charting over the last 50-plus years.
It’s safe to say, I think TikTok has already improved ten-fold in the last 24 hours, and will only continue to do so, thanks to queen Dolly.
