Another new episode of Yellowstone, another new tune from Miss Lainey Wilson.
She premiered a song called “New Friends” on episode 4 last night, which played as Jamie and Market Equities’ Sarah Atwood were drinking and flirting at the bar.
Ultimately, they hooked up (because Jamie is an idiot), so I’m sure it’s just the beginning of all the drama to come with those two.
Lainey shared her excitement for the new song to be out over on Instagram, and I have to say, I think this is already one of my favorite’s from her new fourth studio album Bell Bottom Country:

Lainey is a new cast member on the show this year playing a musician named Abby, and she debuted another new song called “Smell Like Smoke” during an actual bar performance on last week’s episode.
“New Friends” is the fifth song she’s now had featured on the hit series, likely with more to come on Season 5 as she continues in her new role on the show.
It’s a really neat release strategy, because the two new Yellowstone songs have actually been added to the Bell Bottom Country tracklist as they’ve debuted. It started out with 14 songs on release day in October, and is now up to 16 songs in total… and I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a few more before Season 5 is over.
And with streaming and digital being the predominant way people listen to music now, it might be something we start to see more of in the future.
