Now this is funny…
As Jon Pardi’s Ain’t Always the Cowboy tour comes to a close, his openers Lainey Wilson and Hailey Whitters couldn’t let it end without just one good prank on the California cowboy.
End of tour pranks are pretty customary in the music business, and this is one of the best ones I’ve seen during this years tour season so far.
At a show in Boston on Saturday night at Leader Bank Pavilion, Hailey and Lainey trotted out in a full-on baby costumes during Jon’s performance of “Beer Can’t Fix.”
Jon recently announced he’s expected his first child with wife Summer early next year, and Hailey handed him a shirt that said “daddy” on it, along with what appears to be a fake bottle full of beer.
They also brought out a few pacifiers for some of Jon’s band, which is hilarious, and Jon seemed to take it well, dancing with them on stage and even drinking the beer straight from the bottle.
The girls shared all the great footage in a post on Instagram, saying:
“#Prank 2: soon to be daddy @jonpardi gets double teamed by his tour babies.”
I think Hailey and Lainey are probably the textbook definition of double trouble (in the absolute best way), and it seems like all three of these musicians have become pretty great friends over the last several months out on the road together.

The tour officially ends this weekend on October 1st at the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, but Hailey’s last show with the crew was this past weekend.
And in honor of her last show, during a performance the night prior to the baby prank, Lainey and Jon dressed up as corn stalks in honor of the corn queen Hailey, an Iowa native, and went out on stage to surprise her:
I can only imagine how much they’ve had this summer, but Miss Lainey better watch her back during the last shows next weekend…
