Taylor Sheridan is quite possibly the busiest guy in show biz.
In addition to his mega hit and flagship program Yellowstone and Season 5 set to premiere in November, he has plenty of other new shows in the works, like Lioness, 1923, Mayor of Kingstown,Tulsa King, 1883: The Bass Reeves Story, Land Man, and a Yellowstone 6666 project in the works.
So yeah, the guy must not sleep at night…
And according to Variety, three new cast members have been added to his upcoming cast for Lioness, including familiar faces from the Yellowstone universe James Jordan, LaMonica Garrett, and Dave Annable.
All three men have worked with Taylor before, with Jordan playing Livestock Agent Steve Hendon on Yellowstone, in addition to appearing on Sheridan’s Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown.
Annable played Lee Dutton, the eldest Dutton brother, for a brief time on Yellowstone, though his character died early in the series. Garrett played Thomas on the Yellowstone prequel series 1883.
The trio will join join previously announced cast members Zoe Saldaña and Laysla De Oliveira as part of the official cast, and the show is based on a real-life CIA program which:
“Follows Cruz Manuelos (De Oliveira), a rough-around-the-edges but passionate young Marine recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to help bring down a terrorist organization from within. Saldaña plays Joe, the station chief of the Lioness program tasked with training, managing and leading her female undercover operatives.”
Jordan and Garrett will both play CIA Special Activities Division operatives Two Cups and Tucker, respectively, and Annable will play Neil, Joe’s husband and the father of their two daughters.
Taylor Sheridan is the creator of the show, as well as the executive producer, and was recently announced as the showrunner, too.
Nicole Kidman of Blossom Films also executive produces along with David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Jill Wagner, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Malone, and John Hillcoat. MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios produce.
