Dolly Parton’s helping us all get in the Christmas spirit a little early this year.
She’s currently in production for her new holiday special with NBC, Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas, which she’s been spotted filming at her Dollywood resort in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee over the last few weeks.
And it was just announced that she’ll be joined by a star-studded lineup as support, with the likes of Willie Nelson, Jimmy Fallon, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jimmie Allen, Zach Williams and Miley Cyrus all being added cast members and guest stars.
In addition to the legendary Dolly Parton in the lead role, the film will star Tom Everett Scott, Ana Gasteyer and Angel Parker. Additional cast members will be announced at a later date.
David Rambo will write and executive produce with Sam Haskell and Parton. Joe Lazarov will direct and executive produce. Hudson Hickman will executive produce and Billy Levin will serve as producer.
The film will follow Dolly on a journey through Christmas at Dollywood, which she has always loved, as she shares the “mountain magic” of that region at Christmastime with the world.
And recently, a photo went viral of Dolly and Willie riding on a golf cart through the property together during filming, where people speculated that they might be smoking together.

With these two teaming up for a Christmas special this holiday season, it will probably be worth the time to check out. Maybe we’ll be lucky enough to get a “Pretty Paper” duet too…
Dolly also recently announced a deluxe addition of her 2020 A Holly Dolly Christmas album will be released on October 14th, and she just dropped a new single from the project, “A Smoky Mountain Christmas”:
