10 Country Artists We Want To Hear On The Yellowstone Soundtrack In Season 5

Rip and Walker Yellowstone

Yellowstone is BACK.

Season 5 is set to premiere on November 13th, and all signs point to it being the best season of the show yet. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is running for Governor of Montana, Jamie (Wes Bentley) just killed his biological dad, Rip and Beth (Cole Hauser & Kelly Reilly) practically adopted a kid, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) saw “the end of us,” and Jimmy (Jefferson White) and his new fiancée are headed back to the 6666s…

Meanwhile, Summer is in jail, Caroline Warner wants to sue Beth, Mo Brings Plenty is still a badass, and Walker (Ryan Bingham) can still play the guitar.

It’s gonna be good.

Anyways, to get to the real point of this blog… the music.

Don’t get me wrong… I love the show, love the scenery, love me some Kevin Costner, but it was the music that really hooked me.

The music of Whiskey Myers is featured prominently throughout the series (and the band made an appearance as a bar band), as well as Ryan Bingham (who stars in the show as a major character), but along with Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Colter Wall, Turnpike Troubadours and more, I honestly don’t think I could draw it up any better.

Zach Bryan’s “Condemned” even showed up in Season 3.

But who are they missing?

With Season 5 presumably around the corner, they’ll get a whole new opportunity to showcase even more great country music.

Taylor Sheridan and music supervisor Andrea von Foerster do a phenomenal job (Taylor’s movie Those Who Wish Me Dead also featured artists like Whiskey Myers, Turnpike, Johnny Cash, and Chris Stapleton), but I got some ideas of my own.

And while I hope to hear some more Whiskey Myers, Turnpike and Ryan Bingham in Season 5, here’s 10 new (as in not previously featured) artists I hope I can add to our killer Yellowstone: The Soundtrack Playlist

In no particular order…

Charles Wesley Godwin

Mike & The Moonpies

Molly Tuttle

Ian Noe

Muscadine Bloodline

Joshua Ray Walker

Morgan Wade

American Aquarium

Kaitlin Butts

Drayton Farley

And by the way, if you’re looking to catch up on Seasons 1-4, Paramount Network will inevitably be running some kind of marathon in the coming weeks/months featuring every single episode from the first four seasons.

In the meantime, be sure to check out our Yellowstone The Soundtrack Playlist, featuring every song from every episode, all the way through Season 4.

Boasting over 150,000 subscribers, it’s the biggest Yellowstone playlist on the planet.
