The Turnpike Troubadours just keep killing it with the openers they are having at their shows.

Turnpike has had a two-show stand planned for October at the Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, TX for quite some time. Yesterday, they announced they were adding on a third show due to high demand, and today they have announced the supporting acts for each of their shows.

And just like the rest of Turnpike’s shows, the supporting acts are spectacular artists in their own right.

The first show of the three shows is the add on date, and as a result, tickets are yet to go on sale, while the other two are already sold out. For the first show on 10/20, Turnpike will be joined by Joshua Ray Walker and Muscadine Bloodline. On 10/21, Calder Allen and Nick Shoulders will be doing the honors, and 49 Winchester and Nikki Lane will open up on the final night 10/22.

Check out the post Whitewater Amphitheater made to their Instagram account today.

“We are so excited to announce support for the Turnpike Troubadours concerts!

Thursday, October 20th – Muscadine Bloodline and Joshua Ray Walker

Friday, October 21st – Nick Shoulders and Calder Allen

Saturday, October 22nd – Nikki lane and 49 Winchester

Tickets for Thursday are on sale Friday at 10 am. Friday and Saturday are SOLD OUT”

I’ve never been to a Whitewater Amphitheater show, but I’ve heard some pretty great things about it. Not to mention New Braunfels and nearby Gruene, TX are great places for live music, good food, and floating rivers. A bucket list venue that consistently gets some of the best artists in the business.

A Turnpike Troubadours performance is pretty impossible to beat, but these supporting artists will just make the show that much better. If you aren’t familiar with them, check out some of their music below.

Joshua Ray Walker – “Voices”

Muscadine Bloodline – “Dispatch to 16th Ave.”

The Alabama duo hit the ground running in 2022 with the release for their second album Dispatch to 16th Ave. back in January, and are already back to releasing new music with their single “Me On You” last week. Check out the title track from their album.

Calder Allen – “Good Times”

I’ve said it before, and he keeps proving me right, y’all need to know Calder Allen. Fresh off of his debut album The Game, Allen has landed some massive shows already and is still keeping the momentum going.

Nick Shoulders – “Rather Low”

49 Winchester – “Russell County Line”

49 Winchester is having themselves a year, and their recent album Fortune Favors the Bold is one of the best in recent memory.

Nikki Lane – “Highway Queen”

A lot of great artists getting to check “open for the Turnpike Troubadours” off their bucket list.

If you are going to be in the New Braunfels area come October, or have the ability to get down there, I hope you’ll be catching one of these shows.
