If you had tickets to see The Chicks at one of the stops on their summer tour this year, it looks like some of the dates are being rescheduled.
At a show in Noblesville, Indiana at the Ruoff Music Center on Sunday night, the band cut the show short after only playing 6 songs over a 30 minute time span before leaving the stage.
Fans speculated that it was due to lead singer Natalie Maines’ vocal issues, but no confirmation was given at the time.
Natalie, Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire only issued this official statement to their Instagram after the show:
“Indianapolis, we are so sorry we could not give you the show you deserved OR the show we wanted to give you. We will be back Indianapolis!!
Hold onto your tickets. Ticket holders will be contacted by the official point of purchase with further information. We love you Indianapolis.”
And yesterday, they provided another update, saying upcoming shows in Noblesville, Indiana, Cincinnati, Ohio and Clarkston, Michigan will also be postponed due to “strict doctor’s orders for vocal rest,” confirming that the issue likely has to do with Natalie’s vocals.
They posted the rescheduled dates on Instagram, also confirming that Patty Griffin will continue to support and open these shows, as previously announced:
