23-Year-Old Zookeeper Gets Hand Mangles Trying To Pet A Tiger, Dies Of A Heart Attack

A dog being held by a person

This is some real life Tiger King stuff right here.

Remember when that person working at Joe Exotic’s tiger park got their arm basically completely ripped off?

It’s happened again, as a zookeeper in Mexico was mauled by a tiger while feeding it, according to New York Post.

23-year-old Jose de Jesus was fighting for his life, as he screamed in pain while the tiger attacked him after he tried to pet it at the zoo in Periban, western Mexico.

De Jesus was then rushed to the hospital following the horrific scene, where he refused to allow doctors to amputate his hand, that was barely hanging on.

And then, the young zookeeper, who was reportedly a diabetic, died of a heart attack.

The owner of the tiger released the footage to show that the worker was at fault, while also saying he had paid the victim’s medical bills.

Officials are currently looking into the owner, who keeps a lion and crocodile at the zoo as well, was allowed to keep the animals there by the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources.

Don’t pet tigers people… the bloodbath near the cage is tough to look at.

Watch The Trailer For The Tiger King Movie, Joe Vs. Carole

We heard the rumblings, we heard about the cast, and the time has officially come…

The Tiger King series is here.

I’ll go ahead and say it, I’m not sure how the hell you turn this into a television show, considering all of the events that happened in the original season appeared to be fictional within itself (even though it wasn’t).

And then we had Tiger King 2, which had so much promise and was decent, except for the fact that it was only five episodes and Tiger King buzz of Season 1 had faded. Not to mention Joe is in jail…

I mean seriously, what more can they possibly add to make this whole thing crazier than it already is?

The new series, titled Joe Vs. Carole, is streaming on Peacock, debuting back in March.

John Cameron Mitchell is playing Joe Exotic, and Kate McKinnon takes on the role of Carole Baskin.
