How’s everybody in town for CMA Fest holding up after two days?
The festival is officially halfway over, we’ve seen surprise appearances and packed stages, and there are still two days left. It’s supposed to be a hot one today, so make sure you pace yourself and mix a few waters in between pounding those $12 concert beers.
And if you’re too hungover to look at the schedule for yourself, here are some free shows happening today that you don’t want to miss.
A frequent Luke Combs co-writer, and one hell of a country singer in his own right. Kick off your Saturday with Drew Parker on the Dr. Pepper Amp Stage, located at 1st Avenue and Demonbreun Street near Ascend Amphitheater, at 11:45.
Gonna bring you two in a row at one stage, just to make things easier for you if you’re struggling by this point of the weekend. Newcomer and attorney-turned-country singer Scott Stevens will be bringing his unique sound and killer songwriting to the Skydeck at Assembly Food Hall at 1:00.
Then right after Scott’s performance you can see Heath Sanders, one of the absolute best voices out there right now, at on the Skydeck at Assembly Food Hall at 2:00. Makes it easy if you don’t feel like walking all over the city after two days of binge drinking.
Hailey made the list yesterday too, but honestly, she’s too good not to recommend again. If you missed her performance yesterday, or if you’re like me and you just can’t get enough of her music, she’ll be giving another free performance at the Dr. Pepper Amp Stage at 2:45.
The Louisiana native and Texas country star turned Nashville resident is bringing her incredible vocals – and some of that Lone Star State influence – to CMA Fest (which, let’s be honest, isn’t a bad thing these days). Catch Kylie at the Skydeck at Assembly Hall at 7:00.
