Recently, we learned that Garth Brooks is gearing up to open a “classic honky tonk” bar on Lower Broadway in Nashville soon, but it appears he’s not the only famed singer and entertainer with a new bar in the works in the Music City.

Eric Church has a Broadway bar in the works as well.

However, according to the Nashville Business Journal, Jon Bon Jovi is reportedly a partner for an upcoming Lower Broadway bar alongside a Nashville real estate firm, and the next major music star to open a bar on Lower Broadway.

I mean, considering you hear more shitty Bon Jovi and Journey covers on Broadway than real country music anyways, it probably makes sense.

They noted that Bon Jovi has partnered with Big Plan Holdings, which purchased an empty lot at 405 Broadway in November of 2020.

An LLC has reportedly been registered with the state that’s associated with Bon Jovi, and has filed a number of trademarks in Tennessee that use “JBJ” in the name.

If Bon Jovi does make the move, this wouldn’t be the rockstar’s first involvement in the restaurant industry, as he co-founded the nonprofit community restaurant JBJ Soul Kitchen in Red Bank, New Jersey more than a decade ago, and proceeded to open two more in Tom’s River, and on the Rutgers University campus.

On the Big Plan website, the listing for 405 Broadway says:

“Big Plan Holdings closed on 405 Broadway in October of 2020 for $9.4 million, a record setting deal for a downtown real estate land transaction.

Co-founders Josh and Tara Joseph have plans for a multi-story music and entertainment venue with developments slated to start in Q1 of 2022.”

There is still no word on when the venue is expected to open, but Big Plan Holdings announced that construction on the 7,000-square-foot lot began earlier this year.
