Giovannie & The Hired Guns Announce Upcoming Album, ‘Tejano Punk Boys,’ Drop Surprise Single, “I Don’t Mind”

Giovannie and the Hired Guns have done it again.

The rockers are quickly making a name for themselves as one of the hottest names in the Texas rock scene, coming off a big 2021 with singles like “Ramon Ayala,” and “Can’t Answer Why.”

Behind the the gritty vocals of front man Giovannie Yanez, the band has released a number of songs over the past five years, that can have you on your feet and ready to get rowdy on a Friday night, or on the other hand, reflecting on where it all went wrong.

With that being said, the group dropped their latest single today, titled “I Don’t Mind.”

The song is an absolute banger, and is a great follow up to their two prior singles they dropped last year, further displaying the versatility the group has.

Yanez weighed in on the song, and how he came about the bank robbery theme of the music video:

“’I Don’t Mind’ is a song about temptation, and how sometimes the temptation becomes too strong to resist. The video came to me one day after watching ‘Den of Thieves.’

I thought it would be nuts to do a bank robbery video, but throw my own little spin on it. I feel like we made a real fun video with all the essentials. Fast cars. Check. Women. Check. Guns. Check.”

On top of the single, the group also announced their third studio album Tejano Punk Boys, which is slated for this upcoming July.

With “Ramon Ayala, “Can’t Answer Why,” and “I Don’t Mind,” this record has serious potential to be the best one yet.
