Gisele Bündchen Responds To Tom Brady’s Return To The NFL & Twitter Brought The Jokes

It’s not everyday you get mutual public support from both your wife and ex-girlfriend…

Unless you’re Tom Brady, that is.

He recently announced on social media that he’s NOT going to be retiring, and will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for his 23rd season in the NFL:

“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now.

I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible.

I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG.”

And with that, plenty of NFL fans were excited (and some annoyed) that the greatest to ever do it is coming back for more.

Of course, you saw tons of people on social media wishing him well and welcoming him back to the Bucs, including his super model wife Gisele Bündchen, who commented on her husband’s post, saying:

“Here we go again! Let’s go lovvvey! Let’s go Bucs!”

And Tom’s ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan, also shared her excitement to see Tom back out on the field, posting a whole photo of a CNN article about his return, saying:

“Thank God, I had no idea what I was going to do with my Sundays. Congratulations Tom Brady, so proud of you!”

And while the public support is definitely nice and sounds genuine, it does seem a little bit strange for an ex to be publicly posting about her former significant others career moves and decisions now.

Tom and Bridget do share a son together, 14-year-old Jack, so I’m sure they have a decent amount of communication in terms of co-parenting, but I just can’t imagine ever posting about an ex like that.

Then again, it’s 2022, and this is Tom Brady we’re talking about… the man who hasn’t eaten a carb in over 20 years and got wasted drinking just a “litTle avoCado tequila” during the 2021 Super Bowl parade.

Either way, I’d love to hear Gisele’s take on the whole situation… maybe the reverse retirement decision went a little something like this?
