Hailey Whitters’ “Black Sheep” To Be Featured In Yellowstone Season 4 Premiere TONIGHT

Hailey Whitters

TODAY IS THE DAY.

Season 4 of Yellowstone premiers tonight and, of course, they always include the best of the best music for the soundtrack to the show.

That’s done very intentionally, as the shows creators recently discussed the process behind their musical selections and how much effort they put into finding great songs that perfectly fit every single scene.

Yellowstone music supervisor Andrea Von Forester, as well as co-creator Taylor Sheridan, do a fantastic job as each season, they truly put together the best playlist in all of TV for their kickass show.

Andrea said they don’t often use a lot of female artists, though, because of the nature of the show and the rugged setting of the Dutton Ranch:

“We tend to use red dirt country a lot, so artists from Texas and Oklahoma, as well as Americana, and country rock.

We don’t get to use a ton of female artists because of the masculine landscape that we have, but when we do, we like to have bold women. So she fits the bill, she’s just amazing.”

But, Hailey Whitters just announced that her song, “Black Sheep”, will be featured in the first episode of Season 4, which is pretty damn amazing.

She shared an acoustic performance of the track on Instagram ahead of the first episode:

“this little black sheep has a song that’s gonna be on the premiere of @yellowstone tonight!!!!!!!!!!”

Hailey is one of my favorite young artists in Nashville right now, so it’s super exciting that she’ll have her music on a show with such a massive audience, right along with so many other top tier artists in country music.

She’s going to represent the ladies very well with “Black Sheep”, which she wrote with Adam Wright and used as the title track to her debut 2015 album.

Buckle up, y’all… we’re just a few hours away:
