Dolly And Reba Duet Together For The First Time To Update Reba’s Classic “Does He Love You”

Two country QUEENS on one classic cheatin’ song?

I don’t know what we did to deserve Reba and Dolly teaming up for the first time ever to remake Reba’s 90’s classic “Does He Love You,” but I could not love it any more.

It’s part of the project Reba just released, which is a triple album called Revived, Remixed, Revisited that includes fresh takes on her fan-favorite songs.

Of course, the original song was a 1993 heartbreaker of a duet between Linda Davis and Reba. It was also the lead single from Reba’s compilation album Greatest Hits Volume Two.

Written by Billy Stritch and Sandy Knox, the song won the Grammy award for Best Country Vocal Collaboration, as well as the CMA award for Vocal Event of the Year. It also went #1 on the Billboard U.S. Hot Country Songs chart in 1993.

It tells the story of a love triangle, where two women know the man they love is being unfaithful to both of them and they go back and forth wondering and debating who he truly loves the most.

Reba said it’s the song she was most excited for fans to hear:

“I’m most excited for the fans to hear the duet with Dolly Parton, ‘Does He Love You’.

We’ve never sang together before, and Dolly brought her own, unique style to this song. And she did a wonderful job.”

And the ever-charming Dolly hilariously added:

“Stepped into the shoes of Jolene when Reba asked me to sing the mistress’ verses in “Does He Love You’!”

It’s hard to believe that they’ve never actually recorded a song together, seeing as they both have such storied, legendary careers.

They even filmed a music video for the new song, which you can check out below.

This whole thing encompasses everything country music is, and should be:
