Welp, sh*t has officially hit the fan and the Jacksonville Jaguars have officially opened up to the press about Urban Meyer’s actions this past weekend.
It was widely reported this morning that the Jaguars were considering firing him after he skipped the team flight home, stayed in Ohio, and wound up getting drunk and grinding with some young college girl at his bar in Columbus. A young college girl that is definitely NOT his wife.
And then the alternate angle definitively showed him grabbing a handful of her ass.
Needless to say, it’s not good. Not good at all… ESPECIALLY when you have the #1 overall pick and your team is 0-4.
Jaguars owner Shad Khan released the following statement this morning:
“I have addressed this matter with Urban. Specifics of our conversation will be held in confidence.
What I will say is his conduct last weekend was inexcusable. I appreciate Urban’s remorse, which I believe is sincere. Now, he must regain our trust and respect.
That will require a personal commitment from Urban to everyone who supports, represents or plays for our team. I am confident he will deliver.”

So I guess for the time being Meyer will keep his job, but you already know that it’s gonna be a long road for the rest of the season. It’s gonna take a lot of time before his players will be inspired to play for him again… if ever.
I mean, they already think he’s a joke.
