The late, great Charlie Daniels will forever leave his mark on country music.

With the perfect combination of southern rock, country and great storytelling, the amount of country artists that would call Charlie an influence are almost to high to count.

From “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” to “The Legend Of Wooley Swamp,” to “Trudy,” the Charlie Daniels Band created a sound that was like no other.

Now, according to The Tennessean, a posthumous Charlie Daniels album is in the works and it’s going to feature a ton of famous faces.

The album is slated to release on July 16th, and the 19-track “duets” album will include the late Charlie Daniels himself, as well as the likes of Dolly Parton, Darius Rucker, Brooks & Dunn, Vince Gill, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, and many others.

Garth Brooks is teaming up with Daniels for the legendary CDB song “Waco,” along with ol’ Kix and Ronnie mashing up for “Long Haired Country Boy,” and miss redneck woman herself Gretchen Wilson singing Johnny Cash’s “Jackson.”

Daid Corlew, president of Blue Hat Records and Daniel’s former manager, displayed his excitement for the project:

“The process of putting this project together was a wonderful time of reflection and it became an overwhelming reminder of how great these tracks are.

The best of the best joined Charlie in sharing musical styles and great songs.”

You love to see it. Even though the country music legend passed away last year, it’s great so see that his legacy continues to reign on, as he was one of the best to ever do it.

Be sure to pour one for ol’ Charlie tonight.
