Morgan Wallen Does A Little Golf Course Fishing With Eric Church

Eric Church and woman fishing

Morgan Wallen and Eric Church were just doing a little fishing together, and from the looks of it, probably some golfing too.

Anyone who has ever fished a golf course pond knows that they’re some of the most underrated fishing spots out there, and it’s not unusual to see big, big bass reeled in just off of the cart path or fairways.

It’s important to always make sure you have permission before fishing a golf course pond though, but many courses are willing to provide such privileges on off days when the course is closed for maintenance.

Wallen didn’t supplement the photo with a lot of details, but the lyrics to the Church song he referenced says it all.

Hang a sign on the door of my life.”

And who knows… maybe it was after 18 holes (Eric looks like he’s had some sun). Either way, a little a golf and a little fishing with Eric Church… sounds like a hell of a time to me.

And why does it look like someone walked up behind them and yelled, “Hey, what are you doing?” And they both turned around, a bit startled, and right then, they snapped the picture?

Either way, the next time you hit the links, maybe stash a pole in your golf bag.

That caption is of course a lyrical reference to the song “Livin’ Part of Life,” one of the best fishing songs ever written.

“Yeah tomorrow I’m takin’ me fishin’
Hang a sign on the door of my life
Tell the world that I’ve gone missin’
An’ I won’t be back for a while

Of course, it’s pretty well known that Eric Church is one of Morgan’s musical heroes.

He referred to him as the “best country artist that ever lived” ahead of a “Homeboy” cover one time, but now that he has achieved the level of success that he has, he and Eric have become friends.

Morgan recently told Billboard:

“Eric knows how much he means to me, which is cool. I don’t obviously just sit around talking about that all the time, you know, being weird.

But I told him just to get it out of the way… ‘Hey, by the way, man, I love you, bro.’ ”

And Eric said he’s a fan as well.

“He’s real damn good and he’s authentic. That’s the key. Morgan is not trying to be somebody else. He’s just doing him. It’s refreshing to see and hear.”

Church co-wrote the final song on the album, “Quittin’ Time,” with Luke Laird and Josh Thompson.
