WHISKEY RIFF MADNESS 2021: ’90s Country Edition Final Four Is LIVE

Gettin’ down to business here folks.

The Elite Eight is done, over 150,000 votes have been cast throughout the tournament, and we have our Final Four matchups set for Whiskey Riff Madness 2021.

Of the four matchups in this round, we only had one that was a blowout: #1-seed “Friends in Low Places” continues to roll as it easily beat Tim McGraw’s “I Like It, I Love It.”

But from there…ooh boy, it was close.

Joe Diffie’s “Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox (If I Die)” gave “Check Yes Or No” all it could handle, but ultimately King George will be moving on to the next round.

And “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” continues to pick ’em off one by one with a win over “Watermelon Crawl” in what may be the most surprising victory of this round.

But the closest matchup of this round by far was between two absolute heavyweight 90’s country songs. Alan Jackson’s “Chattahoochee” and Joe Diffie’s “John Deere Green” traded the lead all day long (thanks to some help from Joe’s team over on Facebook – we appreciate you guys). But ultimately, “John Deere Green” will bow out of the tournament after a late push helped “Chattahoochee” take the win by a mere handful of votes.

Just a tough, tough matchup.

So with that, the Final Four is set.
