Miranda Lambert Announces ‘Crisco’ Album Release Show At Iconic Texas Honky Tonk, Billy Bob’s

Miranda Lambert

Back to her roots.

Miranda Lambert is heading back to the honky tonk to celebrate the release of her forthcoming album, Crisco, which is due out everywhere on October 2nd. Miranda co-produced it with Frasure. It will feature12 tracks as Miranda explores “heartbreak and hope, highways and honky-tonks, rhinestones and reflection, creating a record that feels both timeless and refreshingly alive.”

The Texas native has played and gone to shows at Billy Bob’s many times throughout her illustrious career, and it’s easily one of the most legendary historic honky tonks in the country, making it the perfect setting for this special show.

Miranda says the iconic rhinestone saddle was an inspiration for the disco-influence of Crisco (she has a similar one at her bar Casa Rosa on Broadway in Nashville),

“When I was in the studio recording Crisco, I kept picturing the rhinestone saddle at Billy Bob’s. It’s the perfect visual for a country disco album: honky tonk with some extra rhinestones and shine.

I’ve played some of my all-time favorite shows at Billy Bob’s and it felt like the best place to bring everyone together to have fun and live out the feeling of this album.”

Billy Bob’s will be the perfect setting to debut all of these new songs, and it’s always extra special when Miranda returns to her honky tonk roots.

The release show will take place on Tuesday, October 6th, and tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, August 14th. I have no doubt it will be a quick sellout, so if you want to make the trip, I know it will be incredible so be ready when the tickets go on sale:

With this project, Miranda is taking her music in a very different direction, and as she continues to tease new music with her new label MCA, marking a new chapter in her decorated recording career, she’s venturing into a new avenue of country music.

She says that she’s always loved “every corner of country music,” and with Crisco, she wanted to lean into the more fun, upbeat kinds of songs that “make you dance”:

“I’ve always loved every corner of country music. The heartbreak songs, the honky-tonk songs, the songs that make you think and the songs that make you dance. Making this record reminded me that those things don’t have to be separated.

We followed the songs wherever they wanted to go, trusted our instincts and ended up with something that feels really fun and really honest to who I am.”

She’s already released the title track, her duet with Chris Stapleton that was released last year, “A Song To Sing,” “Till The Going’s Gone,” and most recently, a groovy one called “Sunset Marquis” that was inspired by her many stays at the iconic hotel.
