Please let this be true.
Megan Moroney is in her Toby Keith era, but some fans have a feeling she might have something up her sleeve.
Don’t get me wrong, I have been bumping a lot of Toby Keith this week ahead of the Kentucky Derby, hoping to send some good juju to his horse, Render Judgement, who will be racing in the 151st “The Run for the Roses.” From “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” to “As Good As I Once Was,” the Toby Keith playlist has been on blast.
And it appears that I’m not the only one listening to legends’ music on repeat. Recently, Megan Moroney has been spotted singing quite a bit of Keith’s music. So, what’s Megan Moroney’s Toby Keith song of choice? “Who’s Your Daddy?”
What a classic.
Megan Moroney has been seen singing the song multiple times over the past few months, from using it as a soundcheck anthem to singing it while sipping on margaritas with girlfriends. Megan Moroney is really on the hunt to find out “Who’s Your Daddy?”

However, some Megan Moroney fans are speculating that her infatuation with the song is more than her catching a vibe to a heater, but that she might have something else up her sleeve. Since Toby Keith’s tribute concert last year in Nashville, some fans have wondered if a Toby Keith tribute album could be in the works. Is Megan Moroney teasing the song she might sing on it?
Of course, all of this is pure speculation, but I don’t think it’s that far-fetched of an idea.
One TikToker compiled all the times that Moroney has sung the song, and when you look at the frequency of times she has sung “Who’s Your Daddy,” it does make you wonder if this is an Easter Egg to something bigger.

After the tragic death of Naomi Judd, Moroney appeared on A Tribute to the Judds, covering “Why Not Me,” so I could see her being asked to be featured on another tribute record. She was also featured on the Twister soundtrack and Brooks and Dunn’s Reboot II album. Given she is one of the hottest female names in country music right now, selling out show after show on her Am I Okay? tour, a feature on a tribute album for another country icon would be a great move. I hope that this is not just a theory and that a Toby Keith Tribute album is on the way.
Check out some of the comments left on the compilation post speculating she might have something up her sleeve.
“Not sure how this info affects anything, but Ella Langley and Riley Green sang this song at the Toby Keith tribute in Nashville last year.”
“Marketing-wise- I think they are going to release an album with country singers covering Toby Keith, like they did with the Judds, and she’s the first single coming out.”
“I also have hyperfixation songs.”
“Idk but I’m glad this is both of our hype songs.”
“I hope she releases this as a cover.”
“God forbid a girl catch a vibe.”
“She’s so real for this.”
“Just remembering a legend.”
“Toby Keith girls know.”
Fingers crossed…
And while it’s TBD on the Toby Keith cover, Megan will be teaming up with a different ’90s country star, Kenny Chesney, for “You Had To Be There,” due out on May 9th.
