Jameis Winston Has Already Won Super Bowl LIX

What if I told you that someone has already won the Super Bowl?

No, I’m not suggesting that the “Big Game” has already been played or decided. Nor am I a time traveler that’s come back to warn you to not bet against the Kansas City Chiefs. I’m just here to say that there’s one man who has shined in and enjoyed the lead up to the Super Bowl so much that one could go ahead and declare him the real winner of Super Bowl LIX.

Jameis Winston.

The easiest way to explain the 31-year-old football player is that he’s the “People’s Quarterback.” You’d be hard pressed to find someone that dislikes “Famous Jameis.” He entered into all of our lives as a young playmaker at Florida State University, and he even brought a championship to the Seminoles in 2014. Many thought Winston’s success at the collegiate level would translate directly to the NFL, and though he’s had some good seasons at the professional level, Jameis has become somewhat of a journeyman in recent years.

That being said, Jameis is an undeniable record holder in the NFL. He’s the only quarterback in the history of the NFL to throw for over 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in one season (2018-2019). I’d say creating the 30-30 club leaves behind a legacy, wouldn’t you?

Currently, Jameis is a free agent, as the Cleveland Browns decided to move on from the veteran quarterback who stepped in when Deshaun Watson was injured early in the season. But instead of going on vacation now that his season’s over, Jameis has spent the week leading up to the Super Bowl in New Orleans as a reporter for FOX Sports… and he’s been absolutely killing it.

Winston has always been a star, but this week has really shown just how natural of an entertainer the quarterback is. I love that Fox Sports just handed him a microphone and put a camera on him and basically let Jameis loose in the streets of New Orleans. Needless to say, the decision has paid off for them, as you’ll see in this highlight package that I’ve put together below.

Praying Live On ‘The Pat McAfee Show’

Winston has been an unmitigated content machine this week… and it’s been amazing to witness. His run leading up to the Super Bowl is reminiscent of some of the best runs in sports, like Tiger Woods’ “Tiger Slam,” or Michael Jordan establishing his dominance in the late 80’s into the early 90’s. Or yes, the Kansas City Chiefs as of late.

Who knows where Jameis will end up next season. I hope I get to watch him play as a starting quarterback somewhere, but I think it’s safe to say that when he decides to retire from playing football, he’ll be able to comfortably walk right into a career in media covering football. And I’ll leave you with this.

Here’s Jameis Winston giving a pre-game speech to the NFL on Fox crew ahead of the NFL’s finale:

Congratulations to Jameis Winston… the unofficial winner of Super Bowl LIX!
